Most off-the-shelf tote racks bow under load. Ours don't, because we frame them like furniture.
Solid 2×4 frame
Posts and stretchers are kiln-dried solid wood — not particleboard, not MDF, not bent steel. Joinery is pocket-screwed and glued at every intersection.
Full-depth shelves
30-inch deep shelves catch the entire footprint of a 27-gallon tote. No overhang, no tipping when you slide a heavy tote off the back.
Tested loads
Every shelf takes a fully loaded 27-gallon tote (rated 50-75 lb) without flex. We build for the worst-case row, not the average.
