How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Effective date: May 10, 2026
Premier Custom Storage ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website premiercustomstorage.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors and customers, how we use that information, and the choices you have.
By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
Contact information when you submit a quote request: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and ZIP code
Account information if you create a customer account: email, password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication, never visible to us in plain text), display name, optional phone
Project details you submit with quotes: dimensions, photos of your space, custom requirements, notes
Payment information when you place a deposit or final payment: card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers
Communications sent through email, the customer portal messaging feature, or the contact form
Information collected automatically
Standard web server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, referring URL
Cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and remembering site preferences
Anonymized analytics if you opt in (Google Analytics 4 — measures site usage, not individual identification)
2. How we use your information
To respond to quote requests and provide pricing
To process orders, deposits, deliveries, and customer support
To communicate with you about your projects, account, or general inquiries
To send you marketing emails (only if you opt in to our newsletter — easy to unsubscribe at any time)
To improve the website and our services
To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats
To comply with legal obligations (tax records, applicable consumer-protection laws)
3. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We share information only with:
Service providers we use to operate the site: Firebase (Google) for authentication and database, Stripe for payment processing, EmailJS or Resend for email delivery, Netlify for website hosting. Each provider has its own privacy practices and data security standards.
Government agencies if required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order)
A successor business if we sell or transfer Premier Custom Storage to another owner. You'll be notified before any such transfer affects your data.
4. How long we keep your information
Quote requests: kept for 12 months from submission, then deleted unless you've placed an order
Order records: kept for 7 years for tax and warranty purposes
Customer accounts: kept until you delete them or request deletion
Email communications: kept indefinitely unless you request deletion
Server logs: rotated automatically every 90 days
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal information we have about you
Correct inaccurate information through your customer portal or by emailing us
Delete your account and associated data (some records like completed-order receipts must be retained for tax compliance)
Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
To exercise any of these rights, email info@premiercustomstorage.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS encryption on every page, Firebase Authentication for password handling (passwords never visible to us), Stripe for payment processing (we never see full card numbers), Firestore security rules to limit data access by role.
No system is 100% secure. If a security breach affects your information, we'll notify affected customers within 72 hours of discovery.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
Authentication cookies (essential): keep you logged in to the customer or admin portal
Preference cookies (optional): remember settings like preferred language
Analytics cookies (opt-in): track anonymized usage if you consent
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but the customer and admin portals require authentication cookies to function.
9. Third-party links
This site may link to third-party services (Stripe payment pages, Gumroad for build plans, social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies separately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email to registered customers and a notice on the website at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

Note: This is a starter template. Before going live with payments, please consult a Wisconsin attorney to confirm it meets state-specific requirements (Wisconsin doesn't currently have a specific consumer privacy act like California's CCPA, but federal CAN-SPAM, COPPA, and FTC regulations apply).
